The Iraqi air force on Tuesday (April 4th) targeted three "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) weapons depots in Anbar province, a senior military official told Diyaruna.
Airstrikes in al-Qaim, Husayba and Kilo 160 "destroyed three large weapon depots containing about five tonnes of explosives and killed 30 ISIL elements", Anbar Operations Commander Maj. Gen. Mahmoud al-Falahi said.
"Fifteen four-wheel-drive vehicles were also destroyed in the airstrikes," he said, noting that the operation aimed at "draining ISIL's weapons and explosives stocks".
