International coalition targets ISIL sites west of Mosul

Coalition aircraft destroyed two "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) sites west of Mosul, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Friday (August 12th).

“Acting on prior intelligence and co-ordination with ground forces and the Iraqi intelligence unit, international coalition fighter jets destroyed two ISIL sites: a lodging quarters and a storage depot of weapons and vehicles in the forests of Mosul, 10 kilometres west of town,” ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasul told Diyaruna.

“The airstrikes, launched at dawn on Friday, destroyed the two sites in full and killed ISIL elements inside,” he said.
