Coalition aircraft carried out five airstrikes against "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) sites in northern Iraq, killing at least ten of its members, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Wednesday (August 24th).
The airstrikes targeted ISIL sites in "al-Sheikh Muzhir, al-Hod and Flaifel, south and west of Mosul in northern Iraq, killing at least ten terrorists and destroying their assets and vehicles”, ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Saad Maan told Diyaruna.
“The airstrikes also destroyed an ISIL internal communications tower used by the group’s members in Mosul and its suburbs, together with a 82mm artillery unit,” he said.
