Coalition jets destroy ISIL workshops in Anbar

Coalition fighter jets launched successful airstrikes targeting "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) sites in Anbar province, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Monday (July 25th).

“Acting on intelligence provided by the Iraqi forces and the General Intelligence and Security Directorate, international coalition fighter jets on Monday morning launched airstrikes targeting various ISIL sites in al-Khalidiya Island and al-Qaim, east and west of Anbar’s provincial capital of Ramadi,” ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasul told Diyaruna.

The strikes destroyed two workshops, one for making bombs and the other for rigging vehicles with explosives, he said, noting that “at least 30 terrorists were killed" in the attacks.
