Coalition warplanes bomb ISIL oil tankers in Ninawa

International coalition airstrikes on Monday (June 13th) targeted dozens of "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) oil tankers in southern Mosul, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said.

"Acting on intelligence provided by the National Security Agency, international coalition fighter jets destroyed dozens of ISIL oil tankers in al-Qayyara oil refinery," the ministry said in a statement.

"A group of ISIL elements at the site were also killed in the airstrike," the statement said.
