International coalition destroys ISIS sites west of Ramadi

Coalition fighter jets on Monday (July 10th) targeted three "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) posts in western Anbar, Iraq's Joint Operations Command said.

"Acting on intelligence and co-ordination with the Iraqi forces, international coalition warplanes launched three airstrikes targeting ISIS sites in Anbar's desert near the Syria border," command spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasul told Diyaruna.

The strikes destroyed a workshop for rigging vehicles with explosives and killed the ISIS elements that were inside, including foreign fighters, Rasul said.

A large number of vehicles and weapons were also destroyed in the operation, he added.
