Car bomb blast hits Syrian town of Azaz

A car-bomb attack targeting Syrian opposition fighters in the northern province of Aleppo has killed at least 10 people, AFP reported Thursday (November 17th).

The attack in the town of Azaz "bore the hallmarks" of the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL), said Yasser Yusef, a senior official of the Islamist group Nureddine al-Zinki.

"The attack left 25 dead among our fighters and civilians," said Yusef, whose group distributed pictures to journalists of the victims in body bags.

The Syrian Observatory of Human Rights said the bombing targeted a Nureddine al-Zinki arms depot, killing 10 fighters and wounding dozens of other people.
