Coalition aircraft target ISIL sites south of Mosul

International coalition aircraft destroyed three "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) sites in al-Qayyara, south of Mosul, Ninawa Operations Command said Friday (July 8th).

“Per an Iraqi request to facilitate the movement of our ground forces in the area, international coalition fighter jets on Friday morning targeted two ISIL convoys and a rocket launcher in al-Qayyara,” Ninawa Operations Commander Nejim Edin Karim al-Jubury told Al-Shorfa.

“At least 40 terrorists were killed and about 12 vehicles, one rocket launcher and mortars were destroyed,” he said.
