ISIL sustains losses in Fallujah liberation battles

Iraqi forces, backed by coalition warplanes, killed and wounded dozens of "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) gunmen in the battles to liberate the city of Fallujah, Fallujah operations commander Lt. Gen. Abdul Wahab al-Saadi said Friday (June 10th).

"Iraqi forces killed 43 ISIL elements and injured dozens during the fighting that broke out Thursday evening and Friday morning as part of efforts to advance towards the city centre," al-Saadi told Al-Shorfa.

"International coalition warplanes provided support to our forces by destroying the group's positions and fire source," he said.
