Kidnapped Yazidi woman, children freed from ISIS in Syria

A Yazidi woman and her four children kidnapped by the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) in 2014 have been freed in Syria, the head of the Office for Yazidi Abductees Affairs in Duhok said Monday (August 13th).

"Five Iraqi Yazidis hailing from Sinjar whom ISIS had kidnapped on August 3rd, 2014, have been freed, and they are now on their way to Iraq," Hussein Qaidi said in a statement.

"The freed abductees are Ghazal Ali Qulu, and her children Habib Hussein Khedr, Ali Hussein Khedr, Sami Hussein Khedr and Dalia Hussein Khedr," he said.

"They were freed on Syrian soil following vigorous efforts the details of which will be released later," he said.
