Coalition aircraft destroyed three "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) oil tankers as they tried to carry crude oil from an oilfield to western Mosul, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Wednesday (August 17th).
It remains unknown where the tankers were heading, ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Saad Maan told Diyaruna.
“The three tankers were destroyed and six ISIL elements were killed in the airstrike,” he said.
