A workshop for rigging vehicles with explosives in Anbar province was destroyed Sunday night in an international coalition airstrike, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Monday (August 1st).
“The workshop was a big building containing large quantities of explosives, ammunition, welding machines, various auto spare parts, and is one of the biggest bomb-making workshops," ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasul said.
"ISIL has been using it for a long time, and therefore, it implemented a large security operation around it,” he said.
“The workshop was fully destroyed in the operation [...] and at least ten terrorists were killed inside," he said.
The operation was co-ordinated with Iraqi ground forces and the National Intelligence Agency, he said.
