Iraqi forces arrested 11 "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements in southeast Mosul Thursday (October 18th), Ninawa police chief Brig. Gen. Hamad Namis al-Jubury said.
Based on intelligence tip-offs, joint police and rapid response forces arrested the elements who were using aliases and fake IDs, al-Jubury told Diyaruna.
They include a senior and "extremely dangerous" ISIS militant, he said.
"The detainees, who had served in ISIS's so-called 'soldiers office', had arrest warrants issued for them according to article 4 of the anti-terrorism law," he said.
