A suicide attack on a café in Heet, west of Ramadi, killed 11 civilians and wounded 20 others on Wednesday (October 11th), the Iraqi police in Anbar province said Thursday.

"A suicide bomber blew himself up at a café on Corniche street where a large number of civilians were gathered," Anbar police chief Maj. Gen. Hadi Kassar Erzaij told Diyaruna.

Eleven civilians, including university students and a little girl, were killed and 20 others were wounded, he said.

"This is a barbaric attack that reveals the true face of the 'Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant' [ISIS]," he said, confirming that an investigation has been opened into the attack.
