Three senior "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) leaders, including the Sharia mufti in west Mosul, were killed in international coalition airstrikes launched Thursday evening (April 13th), the Counter-Terrorism Service (CTS) said Friday.

"At about 9:00 p.m. yesterday, international coalition fighter jets targeted an ISIL headquarters in al-Refai neighbourhood, west of Mosul," the CTS said in a statement.

The strikes killed "ISIL’s sharia mufti Abdullah al-Badrani, also known as Abu Ayoub al-Attar; Abdul Rahman Taleb, known as Abu Obaida, a Syrian national in charge of ISIL soldiers' office; and Ibrahim al-Hayali, known as Abu Bareq, person in charge of security in al-Refai," the statement said.
