New anti-terror plan launched in Baghdad

Iraqi forces kicked off a new plan to secure popular areas, markets and public venues against possible terror attacks in the capital Baghdad, the Iraqi Federal Police command said Monday (August 8th).

The plan is based on two elements: human intelligence and technology, the command said in a statement.

Security forces will use technology "through the deployment of explosives detectors and surveillance cameras around those areas", the statement said.
