Iraqi forces killed 15 "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) fighters during battles in northern Ramadi, the Iraqi police in Anbar said Thursday (July 14th).
The Iraqi army’s 7th Division and police special operations forces, supported by the coalition, "clashed with a terrorist group in Zangura" and killed 15 of them, Anbar police chief Maj. Gen. Hadi Kassar Erzaij told Al-Shorfa.
“Iraqi forces are still combing the area and making progress amid weak resistance by the terrorist group,” he said, adding that the goal is to "fully liberate the area in the coming hours".
