Iraqi aircraft targets ISIL sites east of Ramadi

Iraqi aircraft destroyed "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) outposts in Jazeerat al-Khalidiya, east of Ramadi, killing and wounding dozens of the group's elements, the Iraqi police in Anbar province said Thursday (June 23rd).

The airstrikes led to the destruction of five ISIL outposts, three vehicles -- one carrying a heavy machine gun -- and two motorcycles, Anbar police chief Maj. Gen. Hadi Kassar Erzaij told Al-Shorfa.

At least 30 ISIL fighters were killed or wounded in the attack, he said.
