Joint army and Counter-Terrorism Service forces have arrested 23 "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements over the past 24 hours in desert and rural areas of western Anbar, the Anbar Operations Command said Friday (June 15th).
"The total number of terrorists arrested in al-Tash, al-Humeir and Wadi Huran over the past 24 hours has risen to 23, including non-Iraqi militants," commander Maj. Gen. Mahmoud al-Falahi told Diyaruna.
"The terrorists had been staying in deserted areas where they were planning terror operations," he said.
