A policeman was wounded when a suicide bomber blew himself up after he was apprehended at a checkpoint in Diyala province, Iraqi Interior Ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Saad Maan said on Thursday (April 27th).
"Soldiers at a checkpoint in Diyala spotted on Thursday morning a disguised Iraqi terrorist trying to enter al-Ghalebiya area in his vehicle," Maan told Diyaruna.
The car was stopped, and when the soldiers identified the terrorist and tried to arrest him, he blew himself up, he said.
"One policeman was slightly wounded in the blast," he said.
