A suicide attack targeting Iraqi police was thwarted on Thursday (July 27th) in southern Fallujah, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said.
"Ameriyat al-Fallujah police station personnel encircled two suicide bombers wearing explosive vests who tried to attack the security forces at the station," ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Saad Maan told Diyaruna.
Security forces clashed with the attackers before killing them outside the building, he said.
"One policeman was killed and an officer was wounded in the incident," he said.
