Iraqi forces conducted an operation in several areas of Mosul, leading to the arrest of three "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements, the Ninawa Operations Command said on Wednesday (December 26th).
"A terrorist called Wessam Ali and two other ISIS elements are now in the security forces’ custody," commander Nejim Eddin Karim al-Jubury told Diyaruna.
"The arrests took place in different areas of Mosul and its suburbs based on prior intelligence and monitoring of the movements of terrorists who were using aliases and changed their looks," he said.
The suspects had committed several crimes during ISIS's occupation of Mosul, he added.
"Two pieces of weapons and information stored on a CD were also seized in the operation," al-Jubury said.
