Three "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) underground hideouts were discovered and four militants were arrested in a joint police-army operation in Kirkuk this week, the Kirkuk Police Command said on Wednesday (November 28th).
"Three ISIS tunnels containing weapons, explosives, food and medicines were discovered near al-Debs in north-west Kirkuk," said Col. Saad al-Lami, deputy commander of Kirkuk Police Command's special operations unit.
The tunnels were destroyed, he told Diyaruna, adding that four ISIS militants were found nearby and arrested in the same operation.
