Nearly 200 families return home to al-Saadiya

A new batch of displaced families has returned home to al-Saadiya in Diyala province, Iraq’s Ministry of Migration and Displacement said Thursday (August 18th).

“One hundred and eighty-nine displaced families have returned home to their original areas in al-Saadiya,” the ministry said in a statement.

The total number of families that have returned so far to this town is 3,214, the statement said.

Information regarding the next batch of more than 200 families has been sent to the provincial bureau.

"They will be approved and allowed to return in the next two days," the ministry said.
