Iraqi aircraft airdropped thousands of leaflets in northern and western Iraq urging citizens to steer clear from "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) headquarters, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Monday (July 18th).
“Iraqi air force aircraft have today dropped thousands of leaflets on Rawah, Anah and al-Qaim, western Anbar, al-Hawijah, south-western Kirkuk and al-Riyadh, western town [Kirkuk],” the ministry said in a statement.
“The leaflets, which include a warning to all ISIL elements in those areas, urge citizens to keep away from the group’s headquarters,” the statement said.
