Three civilians were killed and nine others were wounded when an improvised explosive device (IED) exploded near a shop in al-Tarmiya in northern Baghdad, on Wednesday (June 1st).
"A locally-made IED planted by terrorists near a shop selling Ramadan foods exploded, killing three civilians, including a woman, and wounding nine others, one of whom is in serious condition," Capt. Sabah Ali al-Saadi of al-Rasafa police told Al-Shorfa.
The police transferred the victims to a nearby hospital and have started looking for the culprits, according to al-Saadi.
