5 ISIS elements arrested in eastern Mosul

The Ninawa Police Command’s 2nd Emergency Regiment arrested five "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) militants in various neighbourhoods of Mosul city in Ninawa province, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Thursday (October 10th).

Two of the detained had worked at the group's "al-hesba" (religious police) office, while the others served as combatants in its "soldiers' office" during ISIS's control of Mosul, it said.

"They were arrested in several areas of eastern Mosul, including al-Jamea, Aden, al-Nahdha and al-Zahra," the statement said.
