Iraqi forces have arrested 19 individuals involved in human trafficking crimes in Baghdad, the Baghdad Operations Command said on Wednesday (August 28th).
"Security forces arrested nine individuals -- six women and three men -- in al-Saidiya (in al-Karkh), who were involved in human trafficking activities and crimes," the command said in a statement.
Ten other women accused of human trafficking were also arrested in al-Elam, it said, noting that "all detainees were handed over to the competent authorities".
