4 ISIS elements arrested in Ninawa
Four "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements have been arrested in separate operations in Ninawa province over the past 48 hours, the Iraqi police said Thursday (August 1st).
"Joint forces have arrested four ISIS elements, including Hassan Ismail, a senior terrorist known as Abu Ahmed al-Ansari who was involved in horrific crimes against civilians between 2014 and 2017," Ninawa police chief Brig. Gen. Hamad Namis al-Jubury told Diyaruna.
"The four militants, who had been hiding using aliases and fake IDs, were arrested in different areas thanks to locals' co-operation and intelligence information," he said.
