ISIS recruiters arrested in Diyala

Three "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) suspects, including one woman, were arrested in Diyala province Sunday (July 28th) on suspicion of recruiting youth to join the ranks of the terror group, Iraq's Security Media Cell said.

"A force from the Interior Ministry’s Intelligence Directorate has arrested three ISIS terror suspects, including a woman, in Diyala," it said.

"The three have been trying to recruit youth and deceive them into joining the terrorist gangs via social media websites where they have been promoting terrorist ideology and criminal acts," the media cell said.

The suspects were identified based on accurate intelligence and monitoring by the Diyala intelligence directorate, it said.
