ISIS claims deadly attack on Syrian regime troops

The "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) has claimed responsibility for an attack that killed six Syrian regime soldiers in the southern province of Daraa, AFP reported Sunday (July 28th).

ISIS said it was responsible for a "suicide operation" Saturday during which one of its fighters sprayed soldiers with machine-gun fire before detonating an "explosive vest".

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said six soldiers were killed and several other people wounded in Saturday's attack in Daraa.

It said a bomber riding a motorcycle blew himself up at a military checkpoint.
