Three terror suspects and one antiquities smuggler have been arrested in different areas of the capital Baghdad, the Baghdad Operations Command said in a statement Thursday (July 18th).
"Security forces arrested three individuals wanted for various terrorism-related charges in operations carried out in southern and western Baghdad last night and Thursday morning," the statement said.
"A dangerous antiquities smuggler and trader was also arrested in an ambush in the area of Palestine Street, eastern Baghdad," it said.
He had in his possession several artefacts dating back to the Assyrian era, it added.
