A joint security force arrested the members of a terror cell planning attacks in three Iraqi provinces, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Monday (June 3rd).
"In co-operation with security forces in Mosul, Salaheddine, and Kirkuk provinces, the Counter-Terrorism Service’s Special Operations Command arrested members of an integrated terror cell planning terrorist operations targeting citizens’ security and stability in three provinces," the ministry said in a statement.
The operation is part of intelligence efforts made over the past days to crack down on "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) sleeper cells.
