SDF nabs ISIS suspects behind Manbij attack

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) said Tuesday (March 19th) it has detained several individuals suspected of involvement in a January 16th suicide bombing in Manbij claimed by the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS), AFP reported.

Nineteen people were killed in the attack, including four Americans: two US soldiers, a civilian defence department employee and a Pentagon subcontractor.

SDF spokesman Mustafa Bali said several suspects have been detained over the bombing.

"A group of suspects believed to be involved in (the) January 16th Manbij bombing that killed several US and SDF servicemen were captured following technical surveillance by our forces," Bali said.
