Iraqi forces destroy 1,300 IEDs in Salaheddine

Iraqi forces have destroyed 1,300 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) found inside an "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) hideout in Makhmour, Salaheddine province, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Tuesday (March 12th).

"Units of the Military Intelligence Directorate at the 14th Division base uncovered a large explosives cache and seized 1,300 IEDs of different shapes and sizes," the ministry said in a statement.

"The IEDs, left behind by ISIS terrorists after the liberation battles, were destroyed by the division’s engineering units," it said.
