2 ISIS elements arrested in Mosul

Iraqi forces have apprehended two "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements in Mosul, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Tuesday (December 18th).

Acting on accurate intelligence and per arrest warrants issued by Ninawa's investigative court which hears terrorism-related cases, the police arrested two ISIS elements in al-Islah al-Zerai area in western Mosul and al-Hadba neighbourhood in eastern Mosul, the ministry said in a statement.

The two had worked for the group's "security committee" and "soldiers' affairs office" in the city, the statement said.
