Iraqi forces destroy ISIS safe-houses in Kirkuk

Two vehicles packed with explosives and three "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) safe-houses have been destroyed in al-Hawijah, Kirkuk province, Ministry of Defence spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasul said Tuesday (September 18th).

The Federal Police’s intelligence units, supported by Iraqi army warplanes, destroyed two vehicles packed with explosives and three ISIS safe-houses that contained improvised explosive devices (IEDs), rockets and medical supplies, he told Diyaruna.

"Available intelligence indicates that these safe-houses belong to the so-called terrorist 'Qadisiya Brigade' which engages in criminal activities in mountain ranges between Ninawa and Diyala provinces," he said.
