Iraqi forces destroyed a number of "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) rest houses and tunnels in western Kirkuk province, the Iraqi Federal Police said Tuesday (August 28th).
"The 5th Division forces conducted several large-scale operations in search of terrorist elements in Qutan al-Kabeer and Qutan al-Sagheer villages, and the Harbat Hills range and surrounding areas," the Federal Police said in a statement.
"Several ISIS safe houses and tunnels were destroyed, a number of landmines were removed and various weapons and explosives were seized," the statement said.
