Iraqi authorities have blocked 430 social media accounts which have been promoting "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) ideology, the Iraqi Interior Ministry said Thursday (June 28th).
"One hundred Twitter accounts and 330 Facebook accounts promoting ISIS ideology have been closed," the ministry said in a statement.
"We urge citizens to not be taken in by news circulated on social media [by pro-ISIS accounts] and to report them so they can be closed," the statement said.
