Iraqi forces have arrested seven "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements in eastern Mosul, the Ninawa Operations Command said Thursday (April 26th).
"A special operations force carried out a series of raids and searches in eastern Mosul, arresting seven ISIS elements who had been hiding among residents using aliases and fake IDs," said commander Nejim Eddin Karim al-Jubury.
"The detainees, arrested in al-Mithaq and al-Jamasa neighbourhoods, include one involved in executions of civilians when ISIS occupied the city," he told Diyaruna.
