Eight "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements were killed in an airstrike launched by international coalition warplanes on an ISIS position south-west of al-Rutba in westernmost Anbar, the Anbar Operations Command said Tuesday (December 5th).
"Coalition airstrikes targeted a four-wheel drive vehicle and an ISIS gathering in al-Nakheeb desert," command spokesman Col. Mohammed al-Dulaimi told Diyaruna.
Oil tankers and a weapons cache were also destroyed in the strike, which was co-ordinated with the Iraqi side, al-Dulaimi said.
