Iraqi security forces killed two suicide bombers who, on Tuesday morning (November 7th), tried to target religious visitors on their way to Karbala, the Baghdad Operations Command said.
"Two suicide bombers wearing explosive vests tried to target the visitors of Arbaeen of Imam al-Hussein in al-Radhwaniya, south-west of Baghdad, but the security forces killed them right away," the command said in a statement.
The vest of one of the suicide bombers exploded after he was killed, but did not cause any damages, the statement said.
"Security forces are implementing tight security measures to prevent any breaches during the religious visit," it said.
