Iraqi forces uncover ISIS mass grave in Sinjar

A mass grave of civilian victims killed by the "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) two years ago has been found in Sinjar, west of Mosul, the Iraqi police in Ninawa said Tuesday (October 3rd).

"Security forces have found the remains of more than 30 victims killed by ISIS terrorists two years ago and buried in the same place," Ninawa police spokesman Col. Riyad al-Obaidi told Diyaruna.

This is the second ISIS grave to be found in less than a month, he said.

"We have started exhuming the bodies to identify them and officially notify their families," he said.
