Kirkuk police clamp down on ISIS cells

Ten wanted individuals, including eight "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) elements, have been arrested in a police operation in Kirkuk province over the past two days, the Iraqi police in Kirkuk said Friday (July 28th).

"Joint forces kicked off a large operation to crack down on ISIS sleeper cells and individuals wanted for murder and theft," deputy police chief Brig. Gen. Sarhad Qadir told Diyaruna.

Eight terror suspects accused of operating for ISIS were arrested "including senior ISIS member Saad Molouki", he said.

Various weapons and explosives were also seized in the operation.
