Iraqi forces uncovered several "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) rest houses and a weapons cache in multiple raids that targeted the district of al-Latifiya in southern Baghdad, the Baghdad Operations Command said Tuesday (July 25th).
"Joint Iraqi forces have found several ISIS rest houses, dismantled five houses rigged with explosives and seized various ammunition and weapons in separate operations in al-Latifiya," the command said in a statement.
They also seized a boat containing explosives and several ISIS locally-modified rockets and detonated a number of improvised explosive devices (IEDs), the statement said.
