Anbar airstrikes kill dozens of ISIS elements

The Iraqi air force conducted airstrikes on "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria" (ISIS) sites near the Syrian border, killing dozens of militants, the Ministry of Defence said Wednesday (May 10th).

"The Intelligence Falcons Cell, in co-ordination with the Joint Operations Command, carried out 11 airstrikes in Anah and four in al-Qaim," the ministry said in a statement.

The strikes killed 47 militants in Anah and 53 in al-Qaim, it said.

Workshops for making bombs and rockets and rigging vehicles were destroyed in the airstrikes, as well as a location used for storing drones and the so-called "suicide bomber rest houses", the statement said.
