Iraqi forces dismantle ISIL terror cell in Baghdad

Joint Iraqi forces have dismantled a six-member "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) terror cell in two separate operations over the past three days, the Interior Ministry said Friday (April 14th).

"Joint army and police forces have nabbed the members of an ISIL terror cell operating in Baghdad who had already drawn up plans to carry out attacks inside the capital," ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Saad Maan told Diyaruna.

The cell members were arrested in two separate security operations in Yarmouk and Abu Ghraib in central and western Baghdad, he said.
