ISIL photo-documentation officer killed in Mosul

The officer in charge of photo documentation for the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) media agency, Amaq, was killed in security operations in Mosul, the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said Monday (November 21st).

The militant was killed by the 9th Armoured Division’s 8th Regiment as part of the operations to retake Ninawa province from ISIL, and three cameras were found in his possession, the ministry said in a statement.

"The terrorist was documenting ISIL operations in Mosul," the statement said, adding that "the pictures on the cameras were delivered to the security and intelligence agencies to track the remaining elements who appeared in the shots".
