Iraqi air force destroys ISIL sites near al-Qaim

Iraqi aircraft destroyed three "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) sites in Anbar Wednesday morning (August 3rd), the Iraqi Ministry of Defence said.

“Acting on intelligence and the co-operation of locals in ISIL-controlled areas in Husayba, near al-Qaim, the Iraqi air force destroyed a weapons and ammunition cache, a sleeping quarters for ISIL terrorists, and a third site used by ISIL as a 'sharia' courthouse,” ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Rasul told Diyaruna.

“The three sites were destroyed in full, the explosives and ammunition in them was damaged, at least 20 terrorists were killed, and 50 others were wounded in the airstrikes,” he said.
