Iraqi forces seize ISIL bomb workshops in Fallujah

Iraqi forces have seized several bomb-making workshops and more than 750 rockets belonging to the "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) in Fallujah, Baghdad Operations Command said Thursday (July 14th).

“A special operations force from the 1st Rapid Intervention Division carried out an operation in al-Dhubat II, Fallujah, and seized three bomb-making workshops, 757 Hellfire rockets, 300 kilogrammes of explosives, eight Katyusha rockets and 19 detonators, and five warheads,” the statement said.

Engineers from the Iraqi army's 1st Rapid Intervention Divisionalso dismantled 70 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and three booby-trapped houses in Fallujah, the command said in a statement.

In addition, a force from the 22nd Intelligence Brigade, in co-ordination with the National Security Agency, targeted a bus carrying four would-be suicide bombers on the Baghdad-Samarra highway and killed those on board, the statement said.
